First off - breathe. Plants don't die from little tiny holes in their flower petals.. Have you had any hail or very heavy rain?

i see NOTHING on the leaves of the plant.. which is where you look for problems ...

i have seen damage of tender petals from water drops in sun.. rain.. spraying of chems .. and just about anything that touches that tender tissue .. nbd ...

when the flowers fade further.. snip them off in hopes of encouraging further bloom ...

Okay, whew! I'm so new to this and just bought this bush so I was sad if it was already dying! Yes, we had 2 nights of heavy rain back to back in CO. I will look on youtube for a video of how and when to cut the flowers back. thank you both for your help!

Look at the flower buds - do they have little tiny holes in them? It is unlikely with a bloom which is so large, as the culprit I know about likes smaller buds, but there is a horrid beetle called "rose curculio" which puts holes in buds, plants its eggs, and then the bud dies. Sometimes the bud is too big and does not die, in which case you get open blooms with holes in the petals. Just a thought -
