In Spokane, Washington, we are in late spring. The lilacs and dogwoods are at their peak, and rhododendrons are coming on. Roses are budding, too. Here are some things in my garden (Zone 6B):

Narcissus jonquilla 'Baby Boomer'

Narcissus 'Winter Sun'

Wisteria 'Texas Purple', with a very sensuous fragrance

Choisya 'Aztec Pearl'. The foliage is pungently scented, too, like eucalyptus

Otto Luyken laurel, with an almond-vanilla fragrance

Daphne tangutica. This one is less spicy, more floral in its perfume than other daphnes. One of my favorite fragrances!

I have a love-hate relationship with this plant. Lily-of-the-valley is as bad a weed as any, but the fragrance is incomparable. I hate the invasiveness of the plant, but can't be happy without the flowers!

Love the blooms!! Love the Jasmine and the Rose and always Mike's plants! I will post a few in a day or so. Too many things blooming at once like fireworks. Lol. The warmth just came just like that and now everything is blooming at the same time.
