Advice on granite please

We're replacing our dated/busy/builder grade granite. We found this one we like (called Ivory Fantasy) which matches our creamy cabinets well, doesn't seem too busy, and has some character. Our kitchen has a huge island (10' x 5') & then an L shaped area where the sink, stove, etc is. It also has a large window with lots of light. We have a very open floor plan with blue & gray decor. We have not decided on backsplash yet. Waiting for counters to go in first. The photos attached are the same slab, just taken with different phones. Will this be neutral enough? We will move at some point, and need to consider resale.

(not a pro) I think it's a great looking choice!

With all that movement, be sure that you and your fabricator are on the same page about how you'll handle seams. e.g. Will your big island need a seam? Where will a seam go for the L shaped counter, and how will you handle the movement for the perpendicular parts? Be sure that you see mockups for the templates before anything is cut. When you get to that point, I'm hoping some of the pros and fabricators chime in about handling seams.

chicagoans Fortunately we won't need a seam on island, because the slab is big enough. 😊 There will probably be 2 other seams around the L shape, as it's a large area. Will definitely be super careful with that. Thank you!

I love it... we just did a remodel with Fantasy brown but it does pick up some green as does yours in the photo...if you have blues

If it is like Fantasy Brown, you might want to test it for etching. Our stone warehouses are classifying the “fantasy” stones as marbles (although at the harder end of the marble scale). There is also one that is called River Blue (sometimes Blue Fantasy) that looks similar to the Ivory Fantasy, but has blue tones. I fell in love with a slab of River Blue but just couldn’t go with anything likely to etch (DH tends to be a little messy and really isn’t in to wiping down counters)
