First scape in west central Indiana

We found our first scape (not counting the potted ones that just came from Florida). H. dumortieri var. seiboldiana is always the first to bloom in our garden. It grows naturally in the east all the way to Siberia.




The flowers are small and few, but we will take any daylily we can get.


The weather is supposed to warm up here so maybe the daylilies will get going then.
