Looks like the hinge bar got shoved down. I would think you would loosen all the screws across the bottom and raise it back where it had been. You can see from the scraped painted finish where the hinge bar had been compared to where it is now.

If you can’t fix it, it is possible your insurance company will pay for fix.

Regarding insurance. 1. It is not worth the claim on your record for something like this. 2. Most people have a deductible and I can't speak for anyone else, however I could easily buy a dishwasher + for the cost of my deductible.

I agree with milworkman, looks like a relatively simple fix. If not hire a handyman to repair it or simply use it until it gives you issues, at which point just replace it. I hope the kido is ok!?
