With these pictures it's difficult to tell what's going on. Nevertheless, I'd say that you need to change it up more than just "a bit." The pine definitely should go, as should the shrubs right of the walk. Can the shrub left of the walk, in front of the window, be trimmed lower without damage? If so, it needs to be brought below the window. The giant overhanging shrub at the far left ... I have no idea what it is or how it is growing in this manner, but it is not becoming to the house. Maybe it could be made into something useful, but from this one picture, we can't tell.

The circular bed at the left corner of the house seems OK, but the raised beds in front of the house seem unnecessary and as, actually, a negative for the overall pictures. I'd consider removing them, or at least backing them away from the walk. The walk could stand to be widened. A good way to do it is by adding a flush strip of sailor course brick down along each edge. This gives it an additional 16" of width.

Start by removing everything to the left of the walk including the raised bed, with its visually disruptive containment wall. It would be better to have nothing but grass in that section than what is there now. And of course the variegated Euonymus japonicus on the right is blocking the window.

Also the awful pointed branch stubs on the dogwood should be removed. Cut just outside of what is known as a branch collar, searching that term on the web should bring up discussions telling what to do.

I noticed the dogwood stubs, too. Not only are they unsightly, but they prevent the cut from healing over.
