My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Climbing Rose before and after

I just wanna share the progress of my climbing rose that I planted 5 years ago. It is planted on a VERY SHADE spot because 200 years old Oak Tree.

My zone is 6B and my soil is heavy red clay. It took me forever to dig a hole because it was so dried that felt like I was hitting concrete. And my daughter was a year old and she would not stop crying. so, it was a lot of work. I can’t believe it still thriving

    That is Zephirine Drouhin' Climbing Rose. To me it has a strong scent. It has a very sweet smell. Sounds funny but it reminds me of my grandma’s perfume. This rose is always my first one to bloom. It blooms for 4 weeks straight. Even though there is a massive Oak Tree in front of them. Then from Early June to August there aren’t any blooms. However it’s not a problem since I always have a massive Japanese Beetle infestation during summer time. In October it has another modest bloom. There isnt a single thorn on them. Every year I throw on top of it a bag of humus and mushroom compost mixed with some Epson Salt. And that’s all. I try not touch that rose too much, since it looks always happy.
