Comments on my floor please!?

Excuse the mess we are remodeling..So we put this LVP by shaw in most of our first floor. We looked at lots of samples and decided on this. Now that its in everywhere I am struggling to even like it. It was an investment for us. I feel like it clashes with EVERYTHING And is a lot darker and busier than i pictured. Any opinions on it would be great. Any suggestions on how I can make this work too because I feel like it clashes with everything or maybe I just feel like its not an attractive looking floor..

Thank you

It is hard to say what it clashes with....because there is only one pic with very limited lighting.

    Please post more photos.

SJ McCarthy I took a few more photos and did an edit to my post. This flooring has been down about a month and I swear my eyes hurt sometimes when I look at it. Almost like it looks ugly to me:(

OK...The look of the floor is quite realistic (as far as I can tell). You have chosen a floor that has the edges 'defined' with black edging (painted edge as it is called). This type of edge means you will never have the look of a continuous floor but a floor made up of individual planks.

Again, I'm having a hard time seeing the real colour of the cabinets in the kitchen. On my monitor they look washed out...almost peach in tone (very soft peach). It looks like there are hints of yellow in the floor. This might be a colour clash but it is very hard to tell.

The biggest colour clash is between the console table (reddish brown with black top) and the gray floors. That is a big colour clash. Big. Big. Big colour clash. That one hurts for sure.

If you have other items in the same tones as the console table, you are going to have to separate them using area rugs.

Grays clash with traditional wood tones. And your floor is no exception. This is one of the reasons gray flooring can be difficult to incorporate into an established design setting (ie. a home with furniture that came before the floors).

On my screen I don't see major color clash--the floor is grayer than the wood tones but it doesn't seem extreme, and compared to the couch your floor reads as warm.

I think bringing in a vibrant color of your choice through decor and rugs would help. I like the variation in the floor that can tie together disparate elements, and I like that its "warmth level" seems relatively neutral. The floor is not bue-gray but more neutral warm-gray; the variation within the planks offers shades that fits with both warm and cooler-toned woods, so in that respect it's a good bridge that could tie together disparate elements. Yes the sideboard is reddish, but your floor allows it to be a bit more showcased; that's not a bad thing. I don't care for spaces that are all warm colors, or all cool colors--and your space now has a floor that can accommodate both.

Despite being LVP I think you're floor offers an organic, grounding element to the space without feeling overly perfect. It seems liveable, undemanding, and without being so neutral as to be bland.

I think it’s fine with your cabinets although a bit busy. I don’t care for it with the reddish buffet and would want to paint it a color that looks better.
