Tree's in pots need good drainage.

Don't use peat based potting soil. Get some cactus or 511 mix and only water when needed.

and.. frankly.. for recently ripped out of mother earth trees .. i dont think they look all that bad ...

when i had trees on pot.. i watered about once a month.. you can tell when teh pot is dry.. by how light it is ...

i think you do need to repot.. but you might want to just stop watering.. and let them get over the first stresses.. before you stress them again ... or do 2 of the 4.. experiment ...

ime: Peat based potting soil takes a long time to dry out, longer if it rains. the browning around the leaves and yellowing are signs of root stress. I personally would get them out of that soggy muck and into some media (mentioned in my last post) that allows some air around the roots, otherwise they're done for. Don't wait.
