Not a pro, so just my opinion. Right now, your dining room seems drenched in the 90s "Tuscany" trend. I'm not sure you can call it a makeover without changing out that old "two tone" wall and ceiling paint. Get rid of the stencil? around the chandelier. Your dining light should be updated, larger and hang lower (approx 36" from table top). I would get rid of heavy handed florals and dark "autumn" colors, add new art and lighter display in china cabinet. It will help if you can post some inspiration photos, so we know what inspires you.

Sorry, some of these are blurry. But so many color combos look great with green! I think your dining room (already lovely) has lots of potential. :)

I actually like the touch of modern your existing light fixture brings to the room, but there are lots of directions you could go with a new one, too. If you decide to change it, I’d go a bit bigger in size. Study some inspiration rooms to get ideas.

I like the stencil. Once you do some other updates, I think it’ll give off a very cool and eclectic vibe. :)

You don’t want to change the wall color due to work involved or because you like it? Painting that would be the biggest change/easiest update. I’d ditch the floral arrangement in the corner and the floral art too.

I do like the paint but the real reason is i plan to sell the house in about 4 years and I will have the entire downstairs painted a neutral . I agree on the florals
