I bought a Major Wheeler honeysuckle vine last fall, on the recommendation of someone on this forum. It's growing robustly. Lonicera sempervirens.

But I realize I don't know how it climbs.Does it put out tendrils that wrap like a clematis?

It's planted at the base of a wood lattice that shades my pergola. It's got about a foot to go up before it reaches the lattice.

Do I need to add wires? Is it capable of wrapping around lattice once it gets high enough? I know with my clematis it couldn't wrap around a wood trellis: only a metal one because the members were thinner.
