Oak risers will be tough to paint well enough to hide the grain. I would not personally.

And will be constant maintenance, as there will be endless kick marks on the white.

I would paint the trim white on cutout and strip spindles and paint white. Bannister looks darker than stairs? if you could strip and stain to match it will look better. If you don’t mind maintenance or paint touch ups, risers would be nice painted, but you’ll need a special primer to cover grain. Adding a runner instead of the slip pads would be an idea and then you don’t have to worry about scuffs on white risers
