Bravada hardwood - Symphony

Has anyone installed Bravada's Symphony hardwood line? I'm considering Opus, Crescendo, or Baroque.

the wood was pretty close to the sample board but there is significant variation between some of the planks. We had our contractor try to pick out the more extreme colors and throw it in the closet. I don't have a picture of the extremes right now, I'll try to take a pic the next time i go over. Our board is the "classic grade" which i was told is smoother of the boards. It does not have the wire brushing which we were specifically trying to avoid.

@Zhen Ding Thank you for the info! Thats a great idea on getting more wood to pick out the darker and use for closets and areas that are not easily visable. We've always had engineered wood but the wood has been those that had a high shine. We are drawn to the raw look and wondering if you had to do any sort of seal or finsh after the install was done? Or is that part of the process? According to one of the sales person at Irvine flooring depot, they said the wood comes pre finished with 6-9 coats or polyurithen. Maybe i misunderstood him, but is that what you were told as well? We are also looking at floors that are on the classic grade level which is smooth to avoid dirt getting into the grooves of the grains. Did you do a glue down install? Thanks again!

Yes we did a glue down install. I don’t recall how many coats of polyurethane finish it had, felt like most of the engineered wood on the market had some similar coating for the polyurethane finished ones. The other alternative would be an oil finish. I didn’t do anything post install. I was under the impression that with polyurethane it was not necessary. I’m attaching a photo of an example of the extreme variations, but I think most are pretty muted. Overall I’m happy with the quality and mix of colors so far, but again I haven’t moved in or put it to real daily use yet.

@sanjogsheth Did you decide on the Nahe? We also are considering it, but deterred by the dark photos on the website. Would love to know if you ordered a box!

@Rusling Homes LLC Nahe is still a competitor. We keep going back and forth between Nahe and LVP First Crush by Provenza. We love the look and feel of real hardwood but are just worried about the maintence behind it. Im thinking we might buy a box of Nahe to see how it differs from the sample. That might help us more. I will post back once we have decided. Nahe is beautiful!

Has anyone installed the bravada symphony in crescendo? @bradp what color did you install?

    Thanks!

@lisa I installed Opus. It's very pretty, I've been told it looks like the floor of a French chateau lol. Crescendo is darker but also very pretty. I like these colors,  a lot more than the yellow honey woods which feel outdated. For what it's worth, my thoughts are, if you put in a darker floor don't paint your walls too dark because the floor is now the color anchor for the house. Dark walls with dark floors will make the place look smaller. I haven't painted my walls yet, but I intend to go light

This looks beautiful! Love the French chateau comments :). Thanks so much.

Considering Symphony Rondo located in KY what are my options?

@lisa or @bradp we are considering putting Rhapsody color in our new home. 9 1/2 inch boards I believe. Just wondering how you like your floors. We have always had sand and stain on site wood floors and worried that switching to engineered wood floors may feel fake? How do you like your floors?

Hi! Our home still being built so the floors aren’t in yet we still have a few months to go.

I should also mention that we are working with an interior design company and they selected the floors so they should look great omce they are installed. Originally we were going to use mohawk but these are supoosed to be higher quality

This is the one I’m looking at. They were installed in the showroom. I’m praying that they look good in our house. Ha.

That looks really pretty. I'm sure it will look great :)

HU-107616244 Where is the showroom with Rhapsody? I'm considering it for my project.

Just installed Revival https://www.bravadahardwood.com/contempo-products/revival-cnrv008 throughout our house in Tempe, Arizona and am very happy with them, but right now things are pretty dusty and I'm still having a lot of trouble keeping them clean. But we're also still not done with construction, so that's probably the cause.

Has anyone installed Rhapsody #95301? I would love to see pictures :) Are you happy with the turnout? TY!

Has anyone installed the Symphony's Leitmotif yet, and if so, do you have photos? Thank you!

It is so great to actually see a thread about the Bravada line. It's next to impossible to find any information.

I am thinking of installing the Bravada D'Vine line in either Walla Walla, Dunde or Rhone. Just like many other I worry that the sample will not be the same.

I would like a more blonde/ light without many knots. I live in Scottsdale, AZ and cannot seem to get a price below $7.89.

Any feedback or pictures would be greatly appreciated!

@Alice D. That turned out great, thank you for sharing. Do you feel like it was similar to your sample?

    Yes, definitely.

I also picked up a sample of the Bravada D'vine line color is Loire Valley from a flooringretailer. When I looked up the wood online, the photo was so different. I'm aware they can vary but it looked so different online. I rushed back to the retailer and asked if their sample could have been mislabeled since it was just handwritten on the back. She says online photos aren't exact as in person, but look at the difference. Seems quite big to me. The appearance of the online one is the tint I would never pick because it looks so old fashioned. 😩

We just received our shipment of Bravada hardwood flooring. We are extremely dissapointed. The quality of the flooring is not what we were expecting. In short, this is garbage. The flooring is rough and catches on your socks. Many boards the wire brush effect has scratched all the way through the oak venier to the poor quality plywood below. When we told the store that we bouht it from that the quality was unaceptable, we were told that we would be charged for the shipping both directions, charged full price for the opened box, and a 20 percent restocking fee. If this company thinks they are going to charge me over $1000 for shipping me complete garbage, I’m going to put some serious time into letting the world know this product is trash!

Ellabellafarm, which bravada floor did you purchase?

@ellabellafarm oh my gosh I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I literally just placed my order for Bravada flooring today. I hope this isn’t my experience as well.

@Rina did you install yet? I’m curious your thoughts. We are looking at purchasing Walla Walla as well and are in Phoenix.

@chis we have not yet installed. However we did end up purchasing the Dundee rather than the Walla Walla. The Walla Walla had too much of a yellow undertone than we wanted for the house. The Dundee has more of a neutral undertone which is what we were looking for.

@Rina interesting. I will check out Dundee. We have a walla walla and Rhone sample. I agree on the yellow. If you don’t mind sharing what did you pay per sq ft? I havent gotten a quote yet. Would love to come see yours if you install first. Ours will go in around March 17.

@chris we too had Walla Walla, Rhone and Dundee. Walla Walla had a yellow undertone, Rhone was too rustic and had too big of knots and Dundee was the perfect happy medium. We paid approximately $14 per sq foot, including labor. We originally were going to do tile wood flooring but decided against it since the product was "cheap" but the labor was more expensive. It was a better add value to do engineered hardwood (expensive product, "cheaper" labor). You defintiley will have yours in before we do ours! They still have to do slab prep work since some areas of our home are not quite even.

Very useful thread indeed. I am looking at Contempo Lancet, Revival or Voguish for a new build in Prescott, AZ. Love the samples seen at Floor Source but concerned about quality of the product.

@rina How did your Dundee install go? we are considering that for our new home. Please share any pics. Was the color and grade close to the sample? Thanks for all any information you can share.

We love ours. We shouldve been slightly more particular with some knots/imperfections but we were in too big of a hurry.

    Dundee

@Chris Thank you ! It looks gorgeous! I’m strongly leaning towards it ..however trying to decide between Villagio D’Vine Taranto and Bravada Dundee. If anyone has installed Taranto please do share your feedback! Thanks so much!

@Lisa Spano do you have pcitures of your installed floors (Symphony Crescendo I think?). Thinking of Symphony Rondo and just want to see a few more actualy Symphony line installations. @Brad_P's Opus pictures look nice.

i did end up installing bravada symphony rondo and love the look. if anyone is looking for pix in future let me know and i'll post

Hi all, I was trying to find som reviews on Bravada symphony and found this thread.
Our new symphony floors were installed by contractor about 3 months ago and was covered with Ram boards. The construction has finally ended and after the complete cleaning I’m first time seeing the floors in real.
I’ve always had engineered wood floors but this one to my surprise has so many dents and rips.
I wanted to ask here did anyone else have the same issue ?
I’m wondering if it’s quality control issue or crew that was working inside did this much damage. Attached are some pictures

We do not have all these dents and rips, no. Sounds like the crew didn't pay attention to what they were doing.

Thanks Alice for responding to my post !

I'm looking into Bravada D'Vine in Veneto and the sample looks perfect but the photos online look gray/green tinted and really not good. Not sure if I can just go off the sample? Rhone also looks like a possibility online but I need to try to get a sample. Has anyone installed the D'Vine line in any color and willing to share experience/photos?
