I don't think there is any reason to worry. Your plant looks healthy, and your blooms are gorgeous! I'm guessing the flush was just too much of a good thing for your MB to carry all that potential to fruition. Most of my roses drop buds at one time or another, especially those that produce loads of blooms. Premature bud drop, or bud blast, is usually a kind of preservation mechanism. Extreme temperature changes, too little water, too many blooms to sustain, inadequate sunlight, etc. can all be factors. I don't worry unless the plant is looking sickly, the buds seem to be showing fungal or other issues (like pests), I know I've neglected my rose or overwatered it or ALL of the buds are dropping and there hasn't been a recent temperature shift. If changing temps cause the drop in remontants, we just have to wait patiently for another flush. In once-bloomers, it's a 365 day wait. Carol

Hi Carol! Thank you again! That must be it, too many buds. The plant is recovering from a lot of neglect and could not handle so many buds. And it suddenly got a lot hotter, over 20 oF . Glad I asked!
