You love red like I love yellow. How pretty those two reds are. Reds are so hard to find though that are colorfast/sunfast as you well know. Now that Dale Hensley has left Blue Ridge, (one of my favorite hybridizers who did sunfast reds better then most), it's harder then ever to find them without spending a kings ransom. You spoiled me with Acquire the Fire for a dark ruby red. It's all your fault-lol..................I seldom like eyed daylilies, but Skater has such a neat looking eye that it draws my attention. I love Stenciled Infusion. Your clump shots of it last year were awe inspiring. If Facemaker ever looked this clean it would be something.........Maryl

Maryl - You wondered if Facemaker would be whiter in the heat. It's not. It's more yellow than cream with the heat and humidity. Those photos you saw that made the petal color look white were not reality. They were either the result of people using cameras that tend to "blue" everything up, or it was caused by light blowback. I didn't photograph it this morning because one petal wasn't fully open.

Pinks and purples are still my top favorites. I've acquired more reds because I'm hybridizing with them. Having gotten good results from my red breeding, I wanted more reds to cross with my red seedlings. I do tend to like the reds more and more each year though. oranges too..

Nice group of daylilies. Kara Louise is sure a beauty. That's the way I like reds--with white edge. I am also drawn to Michigan Nikki. That photo of Kiss of Paradise is lovely. Ours has scapes but it will be awhile before it blooms.

Julia - I'm glad you like the patterns. The patterned ones are what I have most in the very early season. I hope your husband is doing well after his surgery.

Kate, Sherry and Hoosier Nan - I'm glad you all like Kara Louise. I think I may end up liking the bonus more that the reds I actually ordered from Ladybug. Tomorrow some more of my Ladybug reds should open.

Sherry and Hoosier Nan - The hotter it is, the prettier Michigan Nikkii looks. In a few days, I should have a clump shot of it.

I really like that Kiss of Paradise group! It is stunning. Stenciled infusion is indeed a beauty. And, of course, Karen Marie hits me up perfectly since I love red and with the white edge it is gorgeous. Venetian Pools was really something too. Nce one, Debra!

I really like Kara Louise, and Venetian Pools is very photo worthy today. Mine just started scaping a couple of days ago so will be a while before I see blooms. Kiss of Paradise almost looks artificial it is so perfect. Really like the form of that one I can rarely get a good clump shot. They all face completely different directions, like a family argument at the dinner table. I have only had one clump so far with several blooms, Carabbean Eye Spy, and every bloom is at opposite ends of the clump looking outward.
