wonder if the bats are back yet???

ken

That’s so cool Ken! I did see bats a week or two ago I don’t recall.... Always happy to see them!

Yes! Never saw them swarming like this - it's weird.

Wonderful sight! I always look forward to their arrival (a couple of weeks ago).

They always swarm here because there is a 60 acre flood close to me and 5 small lakes within walking distance. There is so much food for them...thousands of black flies & the mosquitoes have arrived too. Ahh the joy of living surrounded by forest and water!

I guess I must be lucky because we always have a good number. But what was interesting was just this afternoon I was out in the garden and heard a commotion with a bird. I looked up and a bird was chasing a dragonfly! Both of them twirling and flying through the air. Never saw that before!

:)

The dragonflies aren't here yet. I also love that when they come, they eat the mosquitos.

Well I’m surprised I haven’t seen the swarms before as I am also surrounded by lakes.

Dee that must have been a sight to see lol!!

Gee, I usually see a small number of dragonflies and I'm always surprised because I don't live near water, but come to think of it, I haven't seen one yet this season.

No swarms of dragonflies, but the 17 year cicadas are out--and, boy, are they ever loud!
