With the amount of sq footage you have I recommend buying a box to try out. When you make your final purchase - make sure you get boxes from the same run so your finish is consistent. Store samples can sit on a rack for a long time and are subject to discoloring. When comparing different products more $ doesn’t necessarily equal better but it could. So compare face veneer thickness, what type of finish, etc but especially get installers vetted. I don’t trust online images at all. A box of the real thing is always best. Post photos of your space with the samples you are considering and we can help you narrow it down.

Thanks for the reply. Here is a photo of a few of the samples I am considering. The middle sample is not Hallmark (it is from naturally aged flooring, royal collection). The other two are both from Hallmark collection (Mangrove in far left and marina on far right).

And another reason why things look drastically different from website shots: INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH lighting! The professional photos are done using a HUGE amount of lighting. Just like super models in a photo shoot, the 5-10 lighting diffusers used to 'light' the photo make a HUGE difference. And that's BEFORE they use 'photoshop' to make the floors look better than they actually are.

Once you have decided on your COLOUR (you have 3 different colours with 3 different DEPTHS of colour) then you start shopping for the colour. At that point you choose a few samples in that COLOUR. Then you narrow it down in the home lighting (BTW....do the lighting FIRST and THEN choose the sample that looks BEST in the NEW lighting situation).

Once you have narrowed it down you can then purchase a single box to ensure you are seeing what you THOUGHT you were seeing in the sample.
