Hi westes! If you propagate a rose from seed, it will not be the same as the original plant. The plant will have a different set of genes and may show characteristics that do not match the original plant. Propagating rose bushes from seeds is also more difficult than propagating rose bushes from cuttings. Propagating roses from cuttings will give you a plant that is identical to the original. It is also much easier to do.
