My Latest Finish

I got the binding done on this today. It's a scrappy medallion design and I didn't quilt it, it's tied. I used the leftover triangles that I cut off of some stitch and flip blocks on a previous scrap quilt that I did recently. I started with those and built around them organically - no pattern was followed. Still working out of my scrap bins. I pieced together a bunch of fat quarters for the backing. Sorry about the washed out look on this photo - ugh.

I am planning to actually not look at the scrap bins on the next project, and I'm going to use some actual genuine yardage for a change! LOL!

Rita, that's very cool! I like it. :) I have lots of strips and triangles, I just need to get busy and use them!

I like it! Good use of those scraps. I have not worked with yardage in so long. LOL You can tell us how it feels.

Pretty quilt. Doesn't it feel good to use up stuff? You'll have so much fun cutting into new yardage.

Very nice. And I like it as a tablecloth. Are you going to use it that way?

Bev, no I just wanted to photograph it in a new spot for a change. I had taken the tablecloth off of the table to wash it and decided to us it as a display. I have a hard time thinking about putting all that time into a quilt and then using it as a tablecloth, especially in this family - you know - that old saying "raised with a pack of wolves" thing. LOL!

Rita, you‘re very creative. I don’t think I understood the word “organic” to describe a quilt until now. It does seem to have just grown from the center out. Very nice.
