On one of public flower walk, in Cornwall, UK, there are some Bromeliads, which I had tentively IDed as Dyckia.

When there recently, I realised a) the were flowering and b) they were definately NOT Dyckia.

The good gurus on the Name that Plant forum, IDed them as Puya for me.

I have since struggled to pin down the species, so decided to checkout you Bromeliad gurus.

All of then are in totally inaccessible locations.

This one, was the only one of this colour, and this was the best shot I could get with the telephoto lens.

This one was a tiny bit more accessible

Any ideas as to their IDs?
