Design Dilemma Flooring

need help w flooring- please!

I need to replace flooring. I have a dog, 3 children and neighborhood children that run in and out from the pool. My walls are Revere Pewter and there is oak trim on the stairway. Looking for durable, good for resale value, pretty, and on a budget. Would love any suggestions please.

Are you thinking of hardwood?

Otherwise. linoleum is a natural product suitable for high traffic areas and where the might be occasional water. It comes in tiles and sheets. You can do lots of interesting designs.
