What's wrong with my majesty palm??

I recently bought this majesty palm from Home Depot and was careful to choose one that looked healthy and had some new growth so I’m sure this must have not been here before or I’d have noticed in the store. When I got it, it had clearly been underwatered (at least recently - soil was super dry), but was doing well anyway. I gave it a good soak before bringing it to my apartment where, as I read on a few sites, I let the top inch or two dry and then watered it until it drained a bit. It’s near a north facing window, but not directly in front and I’ve been turning it often. It’s just on these two for now, but I’m not sure what the problem is. I thought at first it might just be the underwatering, but it's not the ends of the leaves, it's the middle? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It needs to be in a east or west facing window. They like good sunlight, with it being in a north facing window, it doesnt get as much light as it would if it were in a west or east facing window. You cant really overwater a majesty, as they grow on river banks. Watering should not be a problem. Although it does need a well draining pot. It may have a fungal issue aswell. Im not much of an expert, but i can tell you that it needs to be in a different window if possible.

Whoops, meant to say south, not north. It's right out of direct view of the north facing window and in direct view of my west facing window. I'll definitely try watering a bit more, but think you might be right about the fungal thing.. worried because it started in the middle of the leaves.
