Yeah, the blooming is starting!

Had my first official bloom of the season today plus a couple fake/ cheater blooms from this spring‘s additions. Spectral Elegance is first. My husband put new landscape lights in the yard yesterday and had one touching this bloom when it opened, burned the edge on the metal, grrrr. First photo is in the sun, second shows true color, one petal didn’t open fully.

Had another bloom on Heavenly Hidden Treasure, better color today.

And one more cheater/ fake bloom from Smurfette, the color should be a bit more intense but pattern/ eye are what it should be.

I am liking Smurfette too, especially if the color gets a bit brighter it will be perfect! Happy dance for start of your season!

It feels so good to see the season begin, doesn’t it? These look so pretty! Smurfette is probably going to be a real looker when “real” blooms begin because this one looks pretty good!!

Pretty! Smurfette looks nice and I like the name - sounds like a Gossard, I'm guessing.
