I am finishing my basement, and am torn on what color I should do for the basement. I really like the dark wood color that we have on our main floor, but I want to do LVP since it is in a basement. I know that it won't be possible to get an exact match, but one that is close that I like is the Shaw Viso color.

Does it make sense to try to match the color upstairs or would it be better to go with a completely different color? There are carpeted stairs that break up the two floors, and they are not visible to each other. I am planning on doing the LVP for pretty much the entire basement.
