Let your countertops be the hero. IMO, you can't go wrong with classic subway. Best to bring home as many samples as you can - whites, greys - and make sure your lighting is 4000k LED. Ideally match up with your upper cabs and not the slab.

Agree, none are the one - Keep it simple as your counters are somewhat busy. A gray subway that picks up the gray veining would be nice.

Well, if you want a white tile, it should match the white of your cabinets, so look at tile manufacturers that make several whites. The other option is to choose a gray from your counter material.

Thank you! I literally have over 30 tile samples, which have been particularly hard to get over the past few months, and none of them worked. So frustrating. Now that I can actually go into the stores I’ll take a cupboard door with me. You all have significantly narrowed down my search. Thanks:)

i would match the veining in the counter -- to give some contrast with the cabinets, and to help highlight the veins, which are the star...
