POI is quite an interesting looking daylily. How well is it budded? It looks like it might be a fun one to play with. Thanks for posting the pictures.

How is it your Mister Mayor is blooming, and mine hasn't started yet? LOL I just got it in the Spring. Have you had yours before this year? The seedling has a very unique look. I like it because it's different.

David, if I weren't so lazy I would go out and count. I know it looked pretty good. It is certainly a good grower and a good height.. I can't remember if I got it (from Laura, thank you!) in fall of 2018, or following spring. Last year's blooms by the end of day were papery at the edges and curling up. This year it has been holding up much better, and has gone through temps in the low 90s. May not hold up any higher, but that is ok, I don't either. I have not quite decided if I like it or not, but will probably keep it because of the oddity. My husband really likes it.

Debra, I got it last fall, so mine had time to settle in. Or maybe it just wanted to show your MM up! I think it is the form of the seedling I like, so many gold/red eyes out there. The first blooms were very large, today's not so much.

I like the 2 pm look of Pigment the best. We planted it last season and it is huge now, but I don't see any scapes yet.

I am on the fence about POI. Since I often am not home (when I am working which is usually- although not lately during the pandemic) I wonder if I could really appreciate it. But it definitely is different!! I like your seedling. My Mister Mayor, courtesy of Kay, had its last bloom today. I think it will look better next year although it was pretty good this year.

I'm so happy you took those pictures of Pigment of the Imagination showing the different colors. The 2:00 phase is drop dead gorgeous to me................Maryl

Great pictures of POI! I can never remember to get out there and take pictures at various times. You got it in the fall of 2018 :) Very nice seedling!

Interesting progression on POI during various times of the day. Too bad it doesn't show the 2:00pm earlier in the day. I guess the heat/sunlight does have an impact perhaps on the changes.
