Damaged leaves will stay damaged, they won't 'heal'. Is it growing new leaves?

I would cut off the yellowing leaves as the plant will use energy to keep them alive when they will eventually die anyway. Looks like you have some new growth, the plant looks good to me and will continue to grow minus those leaves.

Thanks for the help! Yes I do cut off dying leaves, just left in place for the picture. It is growing new leaves, slowly and they all have brown/burnt looking patches. The place I’ve had it doesn’t get direct light, it does get bright indirect light from two windows, a north and an east facing window. The brown spots are not from sunburn. it used to look lush and healthy with satiny leaves. They just look dull and sick now. 😢

Would it be possible to raise it up high enough that the bottom of the plant also benefits from the sunlight in that window I see in the background? I have a recently acquired adansonii as well and it seems to want a lot more light than I originally had thought.

Great idea, I’m trying that with an inverted tomato cage, works great to bring the plant up closer to the window. Thanks for the tip!
