Wall and Shower tile mistake??

Help! I think I may have made a mistake in the tile and/or layout I chose for my transitional guest bath. Room is 5x10 with alcove shower. I picked Imola Koshi in Dark Grey 12x 24 for bath floor/shower walls and 2x2 shower floor.
The shower is an alcove roughly 30” x 60” with 3-1/2 8’ walls and a 30” glass shower door (planned). On one short wall will be a 6” bump out with a ledge topped w/soapstone.

Q1: originally stated to lay tile in a vertical stack both for room floor and shower walls. That would mean a really narrow tile at the edges of each shower wall with its corresponding grout line running from floor to ceiling. I’m thinking that would make my slightly OCD self go mad. 🤨
Should I revert to a horizontal brick pattern?

Q2: The tile itself has a wet cof of >.42 (from mfr). That’s great for floors, but we have very hard water and I’m worried it’s not great for shower walls. Not slick enough to shed water quickly, even if squeegeed. Which means eventual mineral buildup?
