Beautiful photos Debra. Are those those buds in the pic part of Gypsy Cats? If yes, that is fantastic. Joan Derifield produces a beautiful bloom with many scapes but I find not many buds per scape here. BTW, Dearest Valentine has finally started to send up 2 scapes. Must have been all the rain we've gotten over the past few days. We hope we get more rain as we really need it here.

Julia - Yes, all those buds surrounding the Gypsy Cats blooms are buds from the plant. I didn't think the blooms looked particularly good yesterday, but I wanted a photo that would showcase the buds. Joan Derifield does not have many buds per scape here either - 9-11 per scape - but it makes such a nice clump that I don't mind. I'm glad to know Dearest Val has scapes for you!

So, if a double response shows up, just ignore it. Appears first one did not go through. I really like the color on Keepsake Rosie. Joan Derifield looks wonderful in that clump as does Shores of Time. Gypsy Cats has tremendous budding-how great! And I am liking the sizes on your seedlings!

Gypsy cats looks like a really special plant! Such great color and budding. You should put this photo on your website! Shores of Time is a show off today. Your next seedling to register looks wonderful. It’s nice to see it in Kay’s and your garden, is it an evergreen?

Sherry - Yes, Seedling Into the Mystic X Symphony of Praise is an evergreen. It's rock solid here during our worst winters. I need some people in the north to trial it for me, so I know whether or not to recommend it to Northern buyers. Let me know if you'd like to try it.

Kate - Keepsake Rosie does have good color, which it gets from its mother, Chance Encounter. I think if I could get it in a better spot, it might be a good performer. I'd sure like to see it get that bud building its hybridizer always sees.

As always your seedlings are pretty............I've tried Shores of Time 3 times. One was mislabled, 1 died over winter before it bloomed, the final one was in a mass of blooms when it got rust that one year I had rust. I had to pitch it flowers and all to keep the rust from spreading any more then it already had. I will not put up with rust. I almost wept because it was a beauty.........All Of My Love To You is my second favorite and is on my long list now. Rice says it is Sunfast, which really makes it special if true..................Maryl

Beautiful weekend! Shores of Time clump looks so pretty and is my favorite along with All My Love to You. Love the look of TNT. Wow Gypsy Cats is loaded with buds! Great seedlings, I especially like the DV kid, beautiful shade of pink and so big!

Maryl - It's a shame Shores of Time didn't work out for you. At least you have its child, Dearest Valentine. I thought you had already added All of My Love to You. It does much better for me in the ground than in a pot. It's 93 today and very humid, so I'll give you and end-of-the-day report on it.

Nat - Shores of Time and All My Love to You are both performing better than they ever have this season - maybe because we had a mild winter and I actually got them fertilized this Spring. Thanks for your comments on the seedlings!

Maybe Keepsake Rosie will start showing its bud-builder trait soon. Fried Geen Tomatoes didn't really show it until this year, and then wow! did it ever. Your photos are beautiful as always. Thunder Glow is quite lovely, and I agree about Rainbow Maker I have nine fans from two last year.

Isn't Gypsy Cats a winner though?! All those buds are something! Teh DV X DF seedling is lovely and a big one, huh? OOf course TNT is just my kind of bloom, love it!

Kay - Hopefully your Gypsy Cats will have many buds next year. The most buds it ever had in the old seedling garden that became too shady was 27. So I was thrilled to see at least 29 buds forming on one of the scapes. Keepsake Rosie gets too shaded out by daylilies beside and in front of it. That's why it's not the registered height, isn't multiplying well, and doesn't do the bud building. I have a piece of prime real estate in mind and will move it after bloom season is over..

Really liking Thunder Glow! I love All My Love to You, mine has had perfect blooms, just not a lot. Poor thing was planted last year, then moved this year. Will do much better I am sure when it gets a permanent home-after I move it again. Joan D looks wonderful! And Gypsy Cats just perfect! Is RAinbow Maker doing pretty well for you? I like that different pattern

Nancy - Some scapes in the Rainbow Maker clump have 15-16 buds, and some have six. It's just started to bloom, but with 10 scapes, I imagine it will be quite the clump. It's nowhere close to the registered height of 38 inches. I'd say the scapes range from 27-30 here.

Maryl - It was 94 degrees here at 2:30 p.m. with high humidity, and then it rained around 4:30. All of My Love to You looked both sunfast and rainproof when I saw it at 6:30 p.m.

Debra, Rainbow Maker is a real shortie here. I hope it will be taller instead of increasing fans so much.

Kay and Nancy - I'm revising my bud count on Rainbow Maker. Today while I was taking pics, I noticed a very well-branched scape in the back of the clump that has at least 18 buds. Kay, I hope yours is taller next year. Thirty inches is OK for me, but where I have it in the bed, 38 inches tall would be better.
