I am confused........ which is the preferred color for the plant? Last picture shows a very chartreuse color. First pic shows ,like en. ouzz.

ok that is what houzz wants to say......like ken said “chiffon “ color...... or does it emerge chartreuse and turn chiffon?

Debra, colour preference is a personal taste, it is much brighter with some sun. I cant capture it on film. It emerges lime green, with sun it gets a really cool gold/yellow undertone. In shade it kinda goes green/chartreuse.

DJ , it is similar to Dawn early light but Cold heart continues to glow all summer.

Exactly lindalana, there is something about the colour that kinda glows. It's hard to describe until you see it in person.

Esther I haven't a clue about the parentage of this plant.

but near the bottom of the page it says: Emerging like frosted lime popsicles, Hosta 'Cold Heart' has rippled and serrated edges on heart shaped leaves with snow white backs. In shade, it maintains it's frosted lime color and in sun the frost will melt and these hearts will glow with renewed passion.
