Peony leaf problem

I live in the Pacific NW. I have a number of peonies. A couple of them have black spotting on the leaves. They seem to flower fine, but the leaves aren't happy. It has been somewhat rainy this spring -- even by our standards -- and it's still pretty cool here (highs in the upper 60's F). They are established plants and are in decent soil, although there is a layer of clay and hardpan if you dig down more than about 6". Here is a picture:
