What are the "Asian features"?

Lets see more pictures....close up of that medallion....and of the feet....the back and closer of the top....look like they could be very interesting....but I don't see anything Asian...more French or Italian.

I think the shorebird on the medallion might have an Asian flair. Neat tables. Hope they are salvageable.

In looking at them I see nothing Venetian nor Asian with those tables although Venice is in Italy. When I think of furniture from Venice I think of lots of decorations and these simply do not have the look.

Here are a few more pics; hard to see but the details look like fish and of herons. The herons and fish looked to me to have an Asian influence; again not an expert. Hoping to get some basis for them. Thanks for the feedback!

You have a big job ahead of you because you definitely must carefully strip and refinish those tables! :)

No idea if they are worth anything. What do the undecorative parts look like, such as the bottom and how the legs are attached and the hardware?

Those are...or were very nice. That "picture" is amazing....and in such good shape considering how bad the rest is. I wonder it that cream colored paint was added? Looks almost like latex paint over varnish the way it's peeling.
I think they are worth stripping....VERY carefully. Can you tell if there is any finish on the wood under the paint?

I will take another look to check for any finish. Good tips to take a closer look at the hardware; etc. I would like to strip off the paint and refinish the wood. Doesn’t seem likely I’ll find their origin; the medallions are really awesome and deserve a second chance I think!!

Doesn't look like the paint is very well stuck on. Maybe you got lucky! :)

The artwork looks rather 1920s/early 30s to me
