That is a lovely post, Mantis and you are right. Houzz gets worse almost daily. Polar Fizz is so pretty. Pink Panther Paws is a lovely bloom. Elizabeth Trotter is a nice bright one, Stolen Treasure is a pretty bicolor and The Linda Sierra is such a pretty color and a lovely clump.

It’s great to see you posting here again. On the plus side, adding photos goes much smoother than when you were last posting. Pink Panther Paws caught my eye today, I like the form of this daylily. I like the pastel beauty of Blu Pink Beauty despite the strong sunlight.

Star of India --the heat took its toll after this picture. Blooms have been so pale.

Pink Panther Paws is striking with that huge watermark. Dragon Nation makes a pretty clump, and I love Star Lord. But why is it still in a pot. I ordered it this year after seeing yours last year. Mine hasn't put up a scape yet - don't know if it will.

Mantis , in the search bar at the top of this page , if you know the post you want to search try typing it in . I just tried and typed in the word "daylilies" it brought up posts from the past . I wasn't searching for a particular one but a scroll through the first page there were posts from 2020 but also I saw posts from 2007 and 2004 . There were pages and pages of past posts.

Pink Panther Paws is my pick for today . Believe me it wasn't an easy task choosing !

I am not interested in a generic search of daylilies. I used to be able to search a particular cultivar by name. Even the generic search yields all sorts of results, none of which are from this forum. I have Star Lord in the ground and in a pot.

Blue Pink Beauty is a stunner. I know it's not days of 97 degree temperatures where you are so the colors stay fresher longer, but it sure is tempting to try this older Stamile.......I don't think there is a rounded form daylily you've shown that isn't tempting. I too like Star Lord with that white lined edge. Love the color on Elizabeth Trotter, and my Linda Sierra even had one rebloom scape on her and I don't get many of those. She's just finished blooming here.......I gave up on the search on this forum so long ago I don't remember who was running things. It wasn't Spike that's for sure.............Maryl

Sorry my suggestion was not what you wanted. I guess we all have to put up with the changes that Houzz does until we have enough money to buy them out and do things the way we would like them done.

With all the Stamile daylilies I have and I have a lot, why do I not have this gorgeous oldie, Blue Pink Beauty? Great pictures of a lovely bloom. Linda Sierra is always striking and Stolen Treasure is a head turner.

How does Star Lord compare to other purples you grow? How is its plant habit for you, and does it hold its color in hot temps? It's nice to have one in the ground and one in a pot. I'm looking for a place to get mine in the ground once the heat breaks. Do you grow any other Derrows?

Another nice shot of Blue Pink Beauty. Stamile has a good take on the color pink, but what I've noticed on the pinks I've tried of theirs is that although the flowers and plants may have other great qualities the petal substance doesn't hold up all that well in my heat. Substance as you know is different from color. For me colorfast means just that - the color is stable or acceptable in very high heat. Sunfast to me means both substance AND color are there with minimal to moderate deterioration. Anyway, I'd be interested in your take on the petal substance of Blue Pink Beauty in the heat............Maryl

Star Lord hasn't bloomed yet in ground, so can't comment. Up until a short time ago, I was given the option of searching in the forum daylilies, but now when I type in Blue Pink Beauty, all I get is information about blue and pink bathroooms.

Mantis - None of my seaches turn up what I want either. But that is funny about getting info on blue and pink bathrooms.

Houzz is so frustrating, if it weren't for the great people here, I would not worry with Houzz.

Pink panther Paws is my favorite here, i really like it. Dragon Nation looks good. I have been a bit disappointed in Get R Done. I thought maybe it is not blooming much because it is in too much shade. A couple that are more shaded next to it do just fine. Maybe that is not the problem? Really a nice post!

I did get some advice from Houzz about searching. Put quotation marks around your search term. It did work. I searched "Blue PInk Beauty" and got all the historical posts.
