It's probably trying to re-orient itself. Growth in a pot is very unnatural but it adapted to that over time. Now it will take time for its nest leaves (the flat ones) to become normal again.

Underneath there are rhizomes which branch and produce several plants. So it is a clump of plants which will continue to multiply. Best if you can keep humidity high around it but don't keep the base of it too wet. Once it gets back to normal it will be able to cope better in drier conditions.
