Your floors have a stain on them, don't they? The 'white spots' are improper penetration of the stain. The 'finish' is fine (the Bona on top) but the STAIN underneath the Bona has concerns. The stain has not been worked evenly. It can also be a sanding issue.

Do you have 'in progress' photos? How long ago were the floors installed/finished? How many coats? Were you there to supervise the staining?

It looks more like the floor finisher sanded through the first coat and stain, down to the bare wood. They should have been more professional and touched it up.

Call them back to repair the stain. Spot repairing will determine their finishing skill level.

Our floors had this same issue when they were refinished! Ask your flooring company what Bona product they used. In our case, they used a Bona product, natural seal maybe?... which has a milky tint and is meant for white washed floors. The issue was that our floors were darker and you could see the streaking theoughout. Find the name of the products used and call Bona directly. They explained everything.

The floors were installed raw and stained here. We were not in the house to supervise. I am pregnant and had covid concerns. I personally did not get back into the house until my husband moved furniture back in. I am the one who noticed - frustrating. Flooring guys coming tomorrow to take a look at a bunch of mistakes including this one.

This issue is very common. It can happen to anyone, including myself. it's tricky buffing the first coat on a two topcoat system. That's why, it is super important to apply heavy first topcoat, if, the floor is not flat. It will happen with both oil and water base finishes.

The floor guy should be able to fix it with no problems. Unless, their skill level is not up to par.
