Sword of Justice is Beauty and so is August Frost X Winter's Angel. As always, I love the red of Melee and Miss Demeanor is a pretty clump.

It’s nice to see the good habits on your seedlings, love the white. Sword of Justice is lovely, double scape? I’ve never seen that here.....Best for Last, what an appropriate name for that daylily, a pink beauty to end the regular season.

Sherry - Double scaping is instant rebloom speeded up. In the case of Sword of Justice, the second scapes emerged on its fans even before the first scapes has started blooming. Purple Passion's Promise did the same thing.

OMG, Debra! I have two daylilies sending up rebloom scapes, just went and took another look at them, and guess what......they are double scaping! Reblooming here is rare. Undercurrent, Lee’s Loss, Itza pink Teddy and Purple Paw Print are the only ones To Do that here and rebloom wasn’t immediate. One more thing, the scapes weren’t there when these plants started blooming.

The double scapers are Solar Blast and Coyote Moon. Coyote Moon is on its second full season here, amazing branching and at least 20 buds per scape.

Congratulations on your double scapes, Sherry! Coyote Moon was always a good rebloomer when I used to grow it. I moved it out, along with most all small flowered daylilies, when I started hybridizing.

Sword of Justice is so pretty!! August Frost seedling is still lovely. And what an edge on Best for Last.

Kate - Best for Last always has thick gold edges like that. I'm glad you like Sword of Justice and the seedling.

Indian Ripple is one of my most reliable daylilies. I almost (but not quite) take it for granted. When it blooms here I know it's the end of my daylily season. Your picture captures it's multiple blooms, great color and form..........My other favorite is your August Frost white seedling. Do you remember that other white, ruffled seedling of yours that looked so good this year?..................Maryl

Maryl - I have three other "near whites." The one you liked is not really white. It's a cream/pink pastel blend that can look more white in hot temps. It still has a few buds. It's the least white of the three, and I don't consider any of them truly white. But they fall in that "near white" daylily category.

Sword of Justice and Melee are my favs. I always like Indian Ripple, and got it last fall. Does not look like it is going to bloom though. Miss Demeanoror is one of Judy Davisson's, isn't it? Hers seem to all do so well. Abby Davisson put out rebloom scapes this year. Other Davissons I got that are rebloomers are new so doubt they rebloom. Your seedlings all look so very nice, as usual.

I will have to say Sword of Justice is my favorite, not just because it is purple, but it has a lot going on.

Nancy - Yes, Miss Demeanor is a Davisson. It's struggled here the past two years but is performing very well this year. I noticed while I was weeding yesterday that it has bud counts in the low 20s this time. In the past, I never had more than 12 buds on it. It is one that usually reblooms.

Brad and Nancy - Sword of Justice has a lot of nice attributes. I wish it would show more of a pattern here, but the blooms are pretty without the pattern.

Your pictures of Sword of Justice are so much nicer than Emmerich's! Your pictures make me want it, and I didn't feel that way after seeing hers. Miss Demeanor took a while to get settled in here too - it's looking like a better plant this year, I think I got it around Sept 2018 (not from Davi).

You have the prettiest lates! Mine are all quite plain. My favorites here are Sword of Justice and August Frost seedling.

The other near white seedlings are really nice, I would like to get a white (let's call it just white) but so far nothing. I do have one kinda white which is from pink-lav by lav. I don't know what I was expecting with that cross, but maybe I should try other lavenders.

Laura - When photographed in the shade, Sword of Justice looks more blue purple that it really is. I got Miss Demeanor from Davi several years ago. I grew it in a por for 4-6 years, and then three falls ago put it in the ground. I did not know there were so many grubs in that place, and it got devoured for a couple of years and lost fans. Now that I'm applying every grub rememdy known to man, it's looking taller, healthier, and multiplying again.

Nat - The whites I got out of Dearest Valentine I wasn't expecting. I think pinks and lavenders can throw near whites.
