Do you mean Bathroom 3 and the laundry room? If so, I would use the same tile in both.

There is no need for them to be same. Beware the decorative porcelain "cement" , as VERY often the background on these is not a clean bright white. Things that are "special" are more special when you use them in a limited way . I like the plain in the bath: )

If at all possible? HARDWOOD. on the second floor. YOU WILL THANK ME FOR THAT IN FAR LESS THAN FIVE YEARS : )

Carpet soils fast in bedrooms, it's where you go barefoot, and shed skin, and grind it in. Hardwood frees you for area rugs appropriate to the style/feel you want in each room, for kids especially. It spares you the arduous rip out when the entire thing looks gross.

I would go solid in one room and patterned in the other. The repetition of the tile in both rooms says, to me...”We have a lot of this tile, we had better use it up!” Put the patterned tile, if that is the one that you like the best, in the room that you want to “feature” it in, that people will see most often.
