Lots of pretty blooms to enjoy. That Carmen Renee sounds wonderful. There are just some daylilies that really earn their keep. I really like its color in your garden.......I almost lost my Coral Majority a few years back during a severe winter and it has not performed as well since. Still I keep it around for the color. Yours is looking good......Sears Tower always draws my eye. A nice later yellow................Maryl

Carmen Renee is a beauty, and sounds like a keeper. I know you said Sears Tower is shorter this year, but it looks good. Do you ever have problems with it after winds or storms? The scapes look strong, but I am seeing problems with Hakuna Matata here. One of my taller daylilies, the scapes are thicker than Dancing with Giraffes and Navajo Pony, but Hakuna is the one having problems with leaning.

Beautiful clumps, Brad! Your clump shots of Carmen Renee are always the best. What a great one! I'm so glad I added it. CR has been a joy in the late season here. Your Coral Majority is looking good too. Mine is in too much shade now, and doesn't bloom as well. Maybe I can find a sunnier spot for it next year. I like your bicolor NOID!

Nancy, Sears Tower has nice thick scapes, so no issues. And although it is shorter this year, it still towers over everything and is probably 4 ft. Red Viper, which just finished and is just in front of it, is also very tall and only leans a bit. I looked up Hakuna Matata on NGA. It looks loaded with buds. Perhaps that's why it leans? It sure is beautiful.

North Wind Dancer, Gadsden Goliath and Spider Miracle lean. I tie up NWD and Gadsden. Gadsden will actually lay on the ground after a storm. Maybe you could tie up Hakuna Matata. Here's NWD tied up:

Maryl, we almost lost our Coral Majority a couple of years after it was planted. I don't know what happened to it--maybe a vole got it--but it has bounced back and made a huge clump.
