That Safavieh rug is totally cheap quality. I got one in a runner for my hall when we got a puppy so it worked for a couple of years. But cheap, cheap, cheap quality!

Lovely home. Disappointed to read about the poor quality of the Safavieh rug. I think you're right to go with a quieter rug for your entry, considering the iron work. I like your second rug option the best. Not a fan of the HD bench for your entry though. To my eye, it looks clunky. Do you need storage in your bench? ETA: If this is the same bench as the HD one, it's cheaper on Wayfair.

Thank you lynartist, I tried working with what I had but the rest of my house is furnished much more contemporary and I'm really bothered by the metal bench :(

I'm looking at Wayfair for another bench and honestly think the one you have right now works very well for your entry. Do you use it? What don't you like about it?

I like what you have there as well, better than the new choices. The graphic rug works with the front door. The floor is already off color, adding more colors will not help. The shape of the bench also works with the front door scroll better than the new choice. Unless you change the door and floor, I prefer what is there. Keep looking, it's been a few years there's no reason to rush. If you want to upscale, I'd look for a hand knotted rug (there are now some very modern choices) and stay with a bench that has slim legs and a slim seat. The brown bench reminds me of a pommel horse.

I don’t find any of your selections would do justice to the foyer. Stick with some blue in rug, so as to tie in with living room and distressed rugs are very attractive. Bench below would suit your chandelier and living room as well.

I would just remove the bench. You don't need one there with the chairs just around the corner. Your rug should relate to the one in your living area in some way - either color, style, or even better, both. The one posted just above could work well.
