Looking to renovate the living room and not sure about color. Would like off white or light, but not sure it would work with the cream colored sofa. Any advice?

Ok so wall is 14‘ wide and you want art for over bed? How wide is the bed? Sorry for all the questions....need to be sure to suggest the correct size wall art.

mirror over the dresser will be great.

love the style of your bed with the long headboard with nightstands attached. to me very mid century modern

Not counting nightstands what does it measure? I think wall lights above the attached nightstands is what you need.

    Maybe about 6 feet then

Ok good than adding black in the art would be nice

    What size for the paintings?

  • PRO

You can fill around 2/3rds of the wall..if planning on doing wall lamps Than put art only over main area directly over bed size....if not doing wall lamps and plan on adding small side lamps you could do 2/3rds of the entire bed frame and Nightstands.

So for example if over a 6’ width art can be around 4‘ wide

Hi, should the bed be centered ? It is now off to the side , as I did not want it in front of the door.

Could I use the larger area yo place a couple poufs or something similar?

I think that set up is nice...I have a big floor mirror..and love it! You have room for one...great when getting ready for the day...you can see head to toe..and it adds a cool vibe to any space.

You may want to check your local Facebook marketplace for a mirror...great finds on it....you need a good size mirror..but I will see what I can find...

    how big should it be?

  • PRO

I would try finding a round mirror for a bit of a mid century style....black frame or a frame you could paint black....36” something around that size

    34” round at Target

34” is ok bigger is better..If you have painters tape.....tape it off above your dresser and see what you think...be sure to pick lamps with beige or off white shade...nothing with bright white To go with your muted colors...A black shade is good too.

andree,,,, since this post is 2 yrs old, and the subject post was something different, you will get more help if you start a new post asking for paint suggestions. post these pics under a new title and i'll pop over to give you ideas.

also state that you are keeping the sofa (if you are)

BTW, You're going to have to prime those walls no matter what. Prime them now and then post some other pics asking for wall colors. right now w/that cinnamon wall color it's hard to unsee it and suggest a diff color.

You know, you could keep the rug and go w/a Swiss coffee Wall color.

or did you want something diff?

    New dilemma please. lol
