You know I saw kittens in the post and had to look! Adorable! Nice veggies. The last 2 years my tomatoes have done nothing. Maybe the cool spring. I don't have tomatoes yet! I NEED tomatoes! I go to the farmers market and the tomatoes look just like the ones from the grocery. I bought a couple and they tasted like grocery tomatoes. Yuk. The good FM is across town, but I may have to make a trip before long. I do have some tomatoes on my vines, but will be another couple weeks before they ripen. I have gotten a fee peppers. I don't grow many veggies, husband won't touch anything if he thinks it might be healthy.

The kitten in the second photo is so adorable. If I lived closer to you, I would take that one! They all seem fascinated with that toy. What's it called? You are getting a good yield from your vegetables. I grew some lettuce early which we finished eating at the beginning of July. I sowed some tomato seeds, but the plants died. I'm getting some tasty farm grown tomatoies and zucchini from a little produce market in my neighborhood though.

Cat Alert! I'm here. Love da kitties. You think they have enough toys? We brought another stuffed toy home to our 16 year old cat (Buster) the other day and he looked at it as if to say, what am I supposed to do with this? Enjoy the antics of youth.......I'm partial to Calicoes (kisses to Tilly as well as everyone else)...........Too hot for tomatoes here to set fruit. Our most mature Tomato plant was almost completely up rooted by our latest wind event. Plucked from the ground and tossed toes up onto the soil. Thar' she blows as they say........Maryl

The kittens are so adorable. I remember seeing on TV a commercial for a toy like that. If I remember correctly something pops out from different holes and goes back in. I'm sure all those toys get them tuckered out at some point. Are you keeping all the kittens?

Your garden veggies look terrific. I go to a farm stand up the road from us since I no longer have a vegetable garden. Very reasonable prices and a good selection of produce.

Thank you for looking and commenting. Nancy, I know you lik the kittens and we haave enjoyed them so much. I read that you should put a raw egg in the hole when you plant tomatoes, an I tried it this year. I was quite late planting and it took a while but for the first time in three years we have had large good tomatoes. And I could feed the entire neighborhood with the squash and cucumbers. Debra that little fuzz bucket won our hearts from word go. He has always been the calmest little fellow. Maryl, they all get along so well, they play wrestle, but never fight and all feed together. Tilly has the sweetest natueof the bunch, probably.

The cat toy is Mylopet Interactive Cat Toy. It was ordered from Amazon. And I m freqently looking for more interactive toys. i have my eye on a couple. We put some of the toys up and put out others so hey stay new to them. They have a cat tunnel that they play i a good bit of time every day.

I do enjoy seeing what is ready to pick every day in the garden and also enjoy the addition of fres produce to out diet.

Oh yes, that Fuzzy is a pretty thing! And those “Spots” are cute thing too. And you cannot beat the fresh veggies, can you?!!

I started answering then had to feed the outside feral cats so Julia, Laura , and Nancy had commented and I didn't see it before. Yes, Julia, we did keep all of them since they had an eye problem which repeated vet visits could not seem to cure and we had bottled fed the younger ones and we figured no one wants a kitten with eye problems, and we couldn't bear to have their lives end badly....and so they are all ours and quite rotten.( My husband is at least as bad aobut cats as I m and has a very tender heart for animals.)

Nancy, You did indeed see okra and tt has just been "coming in" for a couple of weeks but is really growing wellAand will produce all summer. (I have a row of it right next to the daylilies in the iris row.)

When my husband was growing up, he lived on a farm and he repeatedly tells me he cannot believe I am getting so much from so few plants. It is a blessing. Laura, I am getting the nice harvest every day or two it has been a lot of fun, and it really is so tasty to have the veggies right out of the garden.

Fuzzy is a little pet, Kate, as you know and he and Gracie the other spotted one, appear to have the same dad. Lucy probably has the prettiest face, and Tuffy, my little striped boy, has my heart.

Cute kittens and nice harvest! My harvest is the opposite of yours. I can't believe I get so little from what I plant. That's why sunflowers is about all I plant, along with a little lettuce. The sunflowers attract the Gold finches so we don't actually harvest them.

Brad, when I plant zinnias the Goldfinches love them so I know what you mean. I also know what you mean about a disappointing harvest. My potaotes is nothing this year. So, I will try again next week
