What is the potting material? How often do you water?

The cane remains green. Just the center of the very top of the cane gets brown and leaves stop growing. I've planted it in different areas, medium, and now I have it on a tree. Anything I can do for it if it's calcium or magnesium deficiency?

I would try James suggestion. Buy some Cal/Mag fertilizer and follow the directions. My guess would be its running short of something, causing weakness during the growth phase. Does the plant flower?

One other thing you could try would be a fungicide in case something is causing a fungus to penetrate the growth tip. I doubt it and would try the Cal/Mag first and post back with any further info.

Dens are not so fussy about feed. More likely was overwatered. But you give me no feedback so good luck anyway. Mounted cant be overwatered unless you packed moss behind it.

I didn't ignore you, I just got back on the site. Potting material was orchid wood chips but now I have it mounted on a palm tree. it gets sprayed every two or three days. I've changed things around trying to solve the problem but it does the same thing no matter what I do.
