The bottom photo looks like natural "quartz" rocks. The gold color and grey veining looks like that to me. Google "how to remove paint from quartz rocks or stones". Lacquer thinner is one of the possible ways. Natural Quartz rocks are not porous. My suggestion is only for true natural quartz rocks.

I’ve been using a citrus remover which has been working. Slowly but working. Under the white is the same green paint we’ve seen all over the house. My husband and I assume it was a primer of sorts 🤷🏼‍♀️ The rocks are natural quartz. They are beautiful looking so far, even with paint on them. I’ll just keep plugging away with the stripper and washing it up with water and a rags.

That is really interesting rock work and I think it's beautiful. Such a shame that it was painted! Stripping that will be a lot of work -- I wish you good luck.

Chemical stripper, lots of scrubbing with an appropriate solvent using a stiff scrub brush followed by toothbrushes, small brass brushes, and ultimately, dental picks.

It will be a pain in the patoot, but very nice when you're done.
