Friday Morning's Blooms

We got some rain yesterday. It seems to have made a difference for a day. Things were still wet when I was walking the gardens before work.

It will come as no surprise that I will start off with some Bennett intros

Tactical Cat: A great little one. I love the colors on this one.

Passing Fancy: Somewhat new. I've only had it for 2 years.

CARELESS DREAM and TORRID DANCER: Mr. Bennett stated in his type written catalog that CARELESS DREAM was his best introduction. This is it's second year for me and this bloom was huge this morning. It approached 7 inches. I am hoping to spread some of its pollen when I get home from work today. TD is the pink one in the picture.

Birthday Wishes: I like this one. I wasn't so sure last year.

Webster's Pink Wonder: A great all around plant. Blooms were HUGE this morning.

Isle of Patmos:

Charlotte Roycroft: This is a fun looking bloom and on a great plant. Blooms for a long period and increases well. These hot humid days and warm nights really bring out the different shades of pink.

Seedlings:

LINDA SIERRA seedlings

This one has been consistent all year. Every bloom looks the same. This one will be moved out of the seedling bed and to a better location for observation.

RED VOLUNTEER x ENCHANTING ESMERALDA: A little less intense than this picture shows, by not that much.

LAST FLIGHT OUT x METAPHYSICAL MOMENT: FFE to open on this seedling. I like the white midrib from LFO. Will also move this one out of the seedling bed.

So many nice Bennetts, and I like Charlotte Roycroft, and Birthday Wishes, I too really like Webster's Pink Wonder and its huge blooms. I really like Careless Dream, David but your seedling may be the prettiest of the bunch.

I like the first Linda Sierra seedling. Birthday Wishes is unusual! Of course the Bennetts are lovely.

Tactical Cat is very pretty. Nice group of seedlings. Rained here too most of Thursday afternoon into the evening. One storm after another came through.

I really like RED VOLUNTEER x ENCHANTING ESMERALDA and LINDA SIERRA seedlings. Very pretty, nice forms. Passing Fancy is very pretty.

What do you like, or not like, about Passing Fancy? The Linda Sierra seedling looks good. I've always wondered why there weren't more good intros out of Linda Sierra.

Well, as I read this late Saturday Pm, I'm not seeing some of the pictures you posted, so will comment on a few I DO see: First one that comes to mind is your red seedling. It may be a tad less intense in real life, but it sure grabs my attention in your photo....Charlotte Roycroft is a nice pink. I like that one too.............I don't know how many pictures you posted but there are only 7 showing up for me, and they all are nice............Maryl
