It's a variegated hebe, perhaps H. x andersonii 'Variegata'. It would be a keeper in my garden :-)

I like those. Easy to keep in general. Purple flowers on a variegated plant is hard to beat for look at me.

i would be better to train the pup.. rather than decimate a garden ...

gardengal & stanofh: DD really likes the plant, too. Happy to report hebes don't appear on any 'danger' list. The plant stays!

ken_adrian: This is DD's first pup, so I'm sure she's erring on the side of extreme caution.

Slug bait is probably the main danger for dogs in gardens.
