We recently purchased our first home. The cabinets were old, beat up and built in place so we needed to remove them. We are having much difficulty finding a quality brand that is beautiful, functional and affordable. I was very close to ordering J&K cabinets after seeing a beautiful door sample. I decided to do my due dilligence and visit a showroom to see them assembled. To my dismay the cabinets were no where near the quality of the door sample I viewed. Some were misaligned, some did not look like they had a top coat and the farmers sink (which I was ordering) looked as if it had been pieced together by a 2yo. I am now finding myself between a rock and a hard place as it is crunch time. I am going for a traditional look. I am not a fan of modern or shaker. The quote I got from Lowes was 15k which is was above our budget for our first home. Any direction or advice would be greatly appreciated!
