Is that the only area that has sprinklers?

@emmarene9 The sprinkler system actually has a broken pump so not usable at the moment. Mostly along home edge is where they appear to be installed though.

You have a great starting point. Decide how much maintenance you would like to devote to upkeep and chose your plants accordingly. A curved bed was my first thought. Don't plant too close to the house...something I was guilty of doing a few years back. If it's mostly sunny and you don't want to constantly water, choose plants that are low maintenance and thrive on low water needs. The area on the other side of the door, I would put low growing plants. Something that won't impede people walking up the walkway. What is the plant in between the windows?

@orchidrain Thank you for your ideas! This is hibiscus planted by previous owners. We are open to relocating it to back yard :)

@Kelly...That is a pretty hibiscus. I would relocate to give it more room to thrive. Keep us posted on your progress! Have fun.
