Did not spot any major munching until recently. Started the Sluggo Plus about 2-3 weeks ago. But now, it seems like major munching is full tilt boggie

One thing I have done that helps is save egg shells, chop them up small in the blender with water. Drain, dry, and sprinkle thickly around the plants they like. They don't like crawling over egg shells.

In real slug and snail territory none of the homemade ‘remedies’ work. Coffee grounds, eggshells, beer traps ... the Gastropoda don’t care at all.

I use Sluggo when things get out of control. I hear that Escar-Go works well, too.

When things get out of control is when you go out and see many, many 12 to 15 inch slugs (real inches, not Internet inches) in the gardens. Many.

The stuff works, the dogs show no interest in it, it doesn't take much, and it only takes a day or two for the damage to stop getting worse. It works on everything from baby slugs to those huge adults.

I haven't had much trouble this year, but it hasn't rained much.
