If it’s too hot tomatoes won’t set fruit.

Then when will it set? Normally its hot but we are getting rain these days so its little better now.

Night time temperatures can also affect fruit set. If night temps stay above 73 or 74 they tend to stop setting fruit. Too much nitrogen can also interfere with fruit set.

As for the temperature it has been hot and above 74 degrees 😭 what should i do now? When will they start setting fruits?

What kind of tomatoes are they. Beefsteaks are tough to set fruit in summer with the heatand humidity. Smaller tomatoes and cherries are much more likely to set.

These are organic tomatoes that i got the seeds from home depot. I seeded them in april.

I think February is the right time to plant out tomato seedlings in your area and you would be picking tomatoes in April/May/June. People in the deep south can also grow a fall tomato crop planting out seedlings sometime in August I believe.

If you can keep the plants alive you should start seeing some tomatoes set when the weather starts to cool down with highs in the 80s as others have mentioned.

I will try to keep them alive cuz i planted these in april and now it is setting flower. I will keep giving water and fertilizer as needed. Thanks everyone
