Rose, I like the rings too, so much prettier than the metal ones!

My husband tells the grandkids not to stand still too long during canning season or they might find themselves in a jar, LOL. I often can just a couple of jars of something, usually at the first or the end of the season, but a jar of summer goodness is sure nice in the winter.

Made some bread and butter pickles Monday. Added some hot pepper flakes [a couple pinches] to the mix. We shall see.

Been canning too.. but more to the OP.. What are those green rings? I haven't seen those before.

They are from the 1970s. and I've been using them since then. They were made by the Magic Button company. I'm so glad I have them. They are plastic, don't rust and work in the pressure canner and water bath.
